Section 1 Belt Conveyor
This section mainly involves the design methods of fixed belt conveyors used for transporting bulk materials on consecutive ship unloading machines and related fixed belt conveyors used on consecutive ship unloading machines, such as inclined and telescopic belt conveyors, which can be followed for reference.
I. Composition and Characteristics of industrial Belt Conveyors
(I) Scope of Application
Fixed belt conveyors are general-type series products, widely used in metallurgy, coal, transportation, electric power, building materials, chemical engineering, light industry, grain, and machinery industries. They transport bulk materials and finished products with a bulk density of 500 - 2500 kg/m³, suitable for an ambient temperature range of -20 ~ 40°C.
For working environments with requirements for heat resistance, cold resistance, corrosion prevention, explosion protection, and flame retardancy, when selecting belt conveyor products, special rubber conveyor belts and corresponding protective measures should be adopted.
(II) Product Specifications
Belt conveyors take their belt width as the main parameter, as shown in Table 7-3-1. The belt width of the industrial belt conveyors should comply with the provisions of GB/T 987-1991 "Basic Parameters and Dimensions of Belt Conveyors".
