What is a mechanical scissor grab?
The mechanical scissor grab is a purely mechanical grab that relies on four wire ropes that are wound in a special way to provide power to the grab and control the opening and closing of the grab.
Structure Composition
Mechanical scissor grab usually consists of a jaw plate, hinge shaft, connecting rod, pulley set, balance frame, and other parts.
The jaw plate is the part that directly grabs the material, the hinge shaft is used to connect the parts and provide the rotating pivot point, the connecting rod transmits the force and movement, the pulley set is used to change the direction and size of the force, and the balance frame ensures the balance and stability of the grab when it is working.

Working principle
A mechanical scissor grab relies on the movement of the mechanical structure to achieve the gripping and releasing action.
As the hoist applies force to the grapple via the wire rope or other connecting device, the pulley set drives the linkage movement, which in turn causes the jaw plate to rotate about the hinge axis, achieving closed gripping of the material.
When the force is released or reversed, the jaw plate opens under the action of gravity or other resetting devices to release the material.
