Top 1 SAMSON Eco Hoppers
SAMSON Eco Hoppers
SAMSON Eco Hoppers (part of the AUMUND Group) are mobile, ecologically sensitive import hoppers designed for the dust-free unloading of dry bulk materials-such as coal, ores, and fertilizers-from ships using grab cranes. They achieve unloading rates of up to 5,000 tons per hour.
Key features and benefits include:
Advanced Dust Control: Equipped with the specialized SAMSON Flex-Flap system, top shrouds, and a turbulence reduction system to significantly minimize fugitive dust and wind turbulence.
The SAMSON Eco Hopper is an economical and ecologically sensitive solution fulfilling all needs for the efficient import of dry bulk cargoes. Its compact design is engineered to combat fugitive dust while at the same time optimising the flow and intake speed of raw materials. Designed to suit characteristics and flow properties of virtually any bulk material, rates of 5,000 tons per hour may be achieved, subject to a grab crane performance. The throughput of the terminal can be increased by adding one or more hoppers and ensuring that onward handling systems can accommodate the increased capacity. The SAMSON Eco Hopper is designed to serve busy ports. It receives bulk materials from vessel-mounted or shore-based grabs and employs a variety of dust control measures before discharging the material into trucks, rail cars or onto a transfer belt conveyor. Mounted on rails or wheels, the Eco Hopper can be positioned along the quay as required.
Integrated Filtration: Features a reverse jet filter system on three sides, which returns captured material to the main stream and ensures compact, efficient grab cycles.
Port Strategy
Mobility & Flexibility: Available in rail-mounted, pneumatic tire-mounted, or stationary configurations. They can be easily relocated, making them ideal for non-dedicated quays.
AUMUND Group
Customization: Tailored to project-specific requirements with grab capacities ranging from 1 to 37 cubic meters.

Top 2 Euromecc's new eco-hopper
Euromecc's new eco-hopper for clinker unloading using grab cranes is based on the company's other designs for the cement and coal industries developed over the last two decades. These bespoke concepts have increased Euromecc's bulk materials handling expertise and know-how, enabling the company to start from a solid base.
The eco-hopper has wide top access (6000 x 6000mm) with a total storage capacity of 90 m3 split into two sections. The top section is directly served by m³ grabs and is designed to accept material quickly to avoid dust release. Under the upper section is a screening grid on top of the self-closing dust flap that prevents particle escape.
The overall action is then enhanced by the presence of two large filter units (16.000 m3/h each) which are connected to the lower section and maintain negative pressure for high-efficiency suction. The lower section of the hopper, made of anti-wear Hardox, is connected to a dedusted discharge spout suitable for feeding tipper trucks at a maximum rate of 400 tph and which operates with a dedicated 1800 m3/h filter. This section also has a radar level indicator to monitor the filling level and the presence of material.
The eco-hopper is equipped with four axles and wheels, two of which are equipped with hydraulic steering devices. This enables the hopper to be pulled towards the dock and reduces the grab's journey according to the vessel's emptying geometry. Therefore, once the ship is docked, no further movement is required, as all operations are addressed by the grab and the eco-hopper, which also has hydraulic stabilisers that activate once the positioning is over. Moreover, once operations are completed, the equipment can be pulled to a parking area, keeping the dock free.
In terms of the electrical power supply, the unit is fully independent thanks to a 100 kW genset that can meet total power requirements.
When it comes to health and safety considerations, care has been taken to avoid personnel working at height during normal operations. As a result, any components that need to be maintained are served by platforms that have appropriate guarding. There are no ladders to climb, as there is stair access to all areas from ground level to the top.

Top 3 Bedeschi Eco Hopper
MELON S.A. awarded Bedeschi with a contract for the supply of a new Eco-Hopper to be operated on the Austral port of Punta Arenas, Chile.
The Eco-Hopper is designed for direct unloading of clinker to trucks at a rate of 600t/h and is designed to work with 12m3 grabs. The machine is equipped with pulse-jet bag filters with high filtration capacity and performance and with low compressed air consumption: an economical and flexible solution to satisfy the stringent environmental standards required.
The Eco-Hopper is designed with a special support structure that allows a solid anchoring of the hopper to the pier structures during unloading operations, but at the same time it allows the machine to be moved by means of SPMT when not in use. This configuration is made necessary by the multi-purpose nature of the Punta Arenas port and due to structural limitations of the existing pier. These operational constraints have forced our engineers to find a winning solution in terms of flexibility of use, weight limitation and structural strength.
The Eco-Hopper will be delivered complete of electrical plant and control system and will be finally assembled directly on Punta Arenas.

Top 4 COMOSUD Eco Hoppers
COMOSUD ECO-Hoppers have been designed to have a capacity of 130 m3.
Once the material is thrown into the hopper, it falls onto a conveyor belt, with adjustable speed, and is dropped into a duct that will feed 2 further smaller ducts.
Then the material will be unloaded onto the plant belts or onto trucks.
The ECO-Hoppers are equipped with filters, necessary for the abatement of dust.
Furthermore, we developed a control panel that is able to manage the whole machine and let the operator adjust almost any component of it.
Top 5 ENJUE Eco Hoppers
Enjue hoppershandle dry bulk materials. Products with a moisture content and particle size below a specified limit will flow uniformly through the hopper and can be discharged to trucks, rail-wagons or conveyors. Ideal for ship unloading with a grab crane, mobile units move easily between hatches and are designed to withstand the abrasive conditions of a busy port environment. The versatility of a hopper makes it an extremely flexible, space-efficient and cost efficient alter- native to an installed continuous bucket unloader or other ship unloading options. The Enjue hoppers are employed in a variety of port, industrial and bulk logistics applications.
Each hopper is designed for the client's specified product and process. The thickness and angles of the hopper plates, as well as the expected stress on the structure, are all adjusted to account for the density, flow characteristics, and required throughput of the bulk commodity.
Handling of many dry bulk materials can generate airborne dust. This can pose a health threat to port workers, an environmental hazard, as well as a fire safety and explosion risk. Excessive dust emissions from bulk loading processes are heavily regulated in many jurisdictions for safety and environmental reasons. Dust emissions also represent a loss of product during the handling process. The ENJUE hopper has several dust and environmental control techniques that can be incorporated into a hopper's design. These features offer state-of-the-art dust prevention and suppression; we can work with clients to include some, all, or none of them as necessary, given the location, climate, product characteristics, and performance requirements that the hopper is designed to meet. The de-dusting system includes a dry gas cleaning system and a wet cleaning system; it depends on the material and the user's requirements.
