This grab bucket is controlled by wireless remote-control technology, specifically designed for bulk cargo loading and unloading operations in harsh environments such as ports, docks, metallurgy, and mines. The grab bucket's electronic control system uses an industrial-grade wireless remote control with a control distance of at least 50 meters, ensuring stable and reliable signal transmission and reception even in complex environments such as field and port areas.
The system operates in a temperature range of -10℃ to +55℃, adapting to various climatic conditions.
The remote control system consists of two parts: a signal transmitter (handheld remote) and a signal receiver (built into the grab bucket). Operators can easily and precisely control the opening, closing, and various movements of the remote-controlled grab bucket using the remote control.
Main Structural Components of the Remote-Controlled Grab Bucket
It is mainly composed of eight core components, featuring a scientifically designed structure, even stress distribution, and convenient maintenance.
Grab Head: The top structure of the remote-controlled grab bucket, primarily bearing the lifting force and serving as the support point for the pulley system.
Transverse Frame: The core component connecting the struts and wire rope system, with an internal balance frame responsible for transmitting lifting force.
Through Beam: The bottom frame of the remote-controlled grab bucket employs a high-strength box-type structure. Its central section is designed as a fully enclosed oil tank, serving both as an oil storage device and protecting the core hydraulic components. The control valve assembly is directly mounted on the oil tank cover, featuring a compact structure and dust and water resistance.

Press Rods: Connected to the struts and bucket body via high-strength pins, forming a linkage mechanism that transmits opening and closing forces.
Scoops: The components that directly contact the material are typically constructed from wear-resistant steel plates to ensure a long service life.
Hydraulic Cylinders: Two hydraulic cylinders are symmetrically distributed, with the cylinder barrels fixedly connected to the lower support beam and the piston rods fixedly connected to the middle support beam, providing the core power for the remote-controlled grab bucket to close.
Control Valve Group: Integrated and mounted on the oil tank cover plate of the lower support beam, responsible for controlling the oil circuit of the hydraulic system, and is a key hydraulic component for realizing remote control functionality.
Steel Wire Ropes: Symmetrically distributed, passing through the pulley windings on the upper and middle support beams, forming a pulley force amplification mechanism, effectively amplifying the closing force of the grab bucket.
Initial State (Remote Control Grab Bucket Open)
1. When the remote-controlled grab bucket is open, the middle support beam is in contact (or close to) the upper support beam, but completely separated from the lower support beam. At this time, the solenoid directional valve of the hydraulic cylinder is closed. Since the piston rod is fixed to the middle support beam and the cylinder barrel is fixed to the lower support beam, the hydraulic cylinder piston rod is fully extended.

2. Lowering Grab: The crane sling descends, and the remote-controlled grab bucket contacts the material under its own weight. At this time, because the hydraulic cylinder's internal oil circuit is unidirectional, the piston rod can retract under external force, causing the middle support beam to descend accordingly. When the piston rod is fully retracted, the middle support beam reaches its lowest position.
Lifting Close: Subsequently, the crane sling begins to rise. At this time, the solenoid valve of the hydraulic cylinder remains normally closed, the rod chamber of the hydraulic cylinder is locked, and the hydraulic cylinder is in a "locked-in" state. As the middle support beam is lifted by the wire rope, the lower support beam is gradually pulled upward under the force amplification effect of the pulley block, thereby driving the buckets on both sides to rotate around the pin shaft and complete the closing grabbing action.
3. Grab Bucket Opening (Unloading) When unloading is required, the operator simply presses the corresponding switch on the remote transmitter. After the signal is transmitted to the receiver, the electromagnetic reversing valve controlling the hydraulic cylinder immediately actuates (opens). The cylinder's rod chamber is unloaded, and the pressure is released.
Under the interaction of the middle support beam (suspended by steel wire rope) and the lower support beam (affected by the weight of the remote-controlled grab bucket and material), the piston rod is smoothly pulled out, the middle support beam separates from the lower support beam, and the bucket opens accordingly, completing the unloading process.
