Project Background
As the world's largest producer and exporter of palm oil, Indonesia's palm oil industry plays a pivotal role in the national economy. However, Indonesia's palm oil exports have faced certain challenges in recent years, such as an 8.3% decrease in exports in 2024 compared to 2023, fluctuating demand in export markets such as India and China, and a decrease in exports due to domestic biodiesel blending programs. In this context, improving the efficiency of port loading and optimizing the export process have become the key to the competitiveness of Indonesia's palm oil industry.
Ship loader technology upgrade practice
Application of ship loader in Indonesian ports
In order to improve the efficiency of palm oil export in Indonesian ports, Rainbow Heavy Machinery, a domestic enterprise, designed and built a GENMA 1000t/h ship loader for an old Indonesian customer, and successfully landed the customer's terminal. The ship loader is designed for the transfer of palm shell and palm meal materials at the customer's terminal, and its technical features include:
Twin-tailed vehicle design: Enhance the stability and adaptability of the ship loader, and can cope with the loading needs of different tides and ship load conditions.
Relay belt conveyor system and boom belt conveyor system: Optimize the material handling process and ensure the efficient transfer of materials from the starting point to the loading tank.
Chute device: It adopts the form of a multi-section sleeve, with a telescopic distance of up to 10 meters, which is flexible and adjustable, and can adapt to the loading needs of different ships.
Optimization of the throwing device: The short belt design of 360° full rotation is adopted to achieve all-around feeding capacity, ensure that the material is evenly covered to a larger operating range, and improve the loading efficiency.
Model innovation value
Dual-cycle collaboration: localization team training for Shanghai Enjue Equipment Indonesia O&M
Replicable model: Rolled out to 3 ports in Kalimantan to form a palm oil "port upgrade package"
Green Premium: Obtained the EU Sustainable Palm Oil Certification (RSPO), and increased the export unit price by 5%
