Working principles of the semi-automatic spreaders

When the spreader is in a no-load state and descends close to the container, the eccentric locking mechanism is automatically triggered, causing the sliding unit to enter the "release" state. At this time, the spreader continues to descend slowly, the sliding unit rolls smoothly along the guide groove, and drives the buffer spring to start storing energy. Driven by the spring force, the turnlock gradually rotates 90°, precisely inserting into the container corner casting hole, completing the initial locking.

 

When the spreader begins to lift, as the weight of the spreader and the container cargo gradually applies load, the turnlock further tightens under the vertical pulling force, forming a self-locking state, ensuring absolute safety and stability during the lifting process.

 

During the unloading stage, the operation process is equally simple: after the container is placed steadily on the ground, the spreader continues to descend a small distance (about several tens of millimeters). At this time, the eccentric locking mechanism is automatically triggered in reverse, the sliding unit returns, and the turnlock rotates 90° in the opposite direction to unlock. The spreader then disengages from the container and can be easily lifted away, ready for the next operation.

 

The entire locking and unlocking process requires no manual operation of the turnlock, nor does it require an external power or hydraulic system. It is fully completed by the self-adaptive action of the mechanical mechanism, improving operational efficiency while reducing operating risks and maintenance costs.
