Mechanical scissor grab is new type of four-rope double-flap mechanical loading and unloading equipment, composed of two jaws shaped like scissors, pulley sets, wire ropes, spacers and other components, because of its appearance like scissors and got the name, often used together with tower cranes, gantry cranes, ship unloading cranes and other cranes that have 2 or more reels. Scissor grab has two kinds of shells, open type and semi-closed type, for choice.
Characteristics
Scissor grab has novel structure, easy operation, light weight, high loading ratio, short opening and closing cycle, long service life and low maintenance cost.
The Scissor grab have a safe working load of up to 120T and a bucket capacity of over 60m3. When the grab is loaded with iron ore, the loading ratio can be up to 1:2.5.
Applications
Mechanical scissor grab are ideal for handling (sticky) coal and ores, minerals, grain, biomass, concentrates and bauxite. Widely used for harbor loading and unloading, mining, construction sites, steel mills and so on.

Working Principle
1. When the grapple descends into the pile of material, through the operation of crane and other equipment, the transmission mechanism of the grapple moves, and the jaw plate gradually opens.
2. The grapple continues to descend, so that the material enters between the jaws.
3. The drive mechanism reverses the action and the jaws close, holding the material tightly.
4. When the grapple is lifted to the specified position, the jaws are opened again by the transmission mechanism to release the material.
