Working Principle
Deployment & Retrieval: Lower the dredging grab bucket to the underwater working area and retrieve it via a wire rope connected to a crane or other hoisting equipment.
Opening: Activate the opening-closing mechanism to spread the grab jaws.
Sampling/Collection: Lower the open grab to the seabed to collect sediment materials (e.g., mud, sand, gravel, rocks). Once filled, close the grab jaws to secure the sample.
Hoisting: Raise the grab along with the collected sediment using the hoisting mechanism.
Discharge: Lift the grab to the designated unloading position, then open the jaws to release the material.
How to choose a dredging grab bucket?
1. Small dredging grab bucket: suitable for shallower waters in the range of a few metres to a dozen metres;
2. Medium-sized dredging grab bucket: can usually work in water depths of ten to tens of metres;
3. Large dredging grab bucket: used in conjunction with heavy lifting equipment, they can operate in water depths of tens of metres or even hundreds of metres.
