Recently, a set of 40-foot hydraulic spreaders manufactured in China by ENJUE was successfully delivered to the local overhead crane manufacturer in Port Klang, Malaysia, after completing the customs clearance process.
The 40-foot hydraulic spreaders exported this time feature a modular design with a maximum lifting capacity of 50 tons, compatible with the C-series bridge cranes (lifting capacity range 250kg-5000kg) manufactured in Malaysia. The core components of the spreader are equipped with Konecranes' patented electric chain hoist system, which uses dual-chain synchronization technology to achieve ±2mm precision positioning, effectively handling heavy components such as motors and reducers.
Tan Ah Lian, Technical Director of Royal Selangor, said, "ENJUE hydraulic container spreaders provided by the Chinese supplier are integrated with self-adjusting brakes and overload protection devices. This not only improves production safety but also increases the assembly efficiency of a single piece of equipment.
Compliance Certification: Breaking Through Technical Barriers in the Southeast Asian Market
To meet Malaysia's stringent import regulations, the exporter completed multiple compliance certifications in advance:
Testing by the Malaysian Institute of Standards and Industrial Research confirmed that the spreader's electromagnetic compatibility complies with the MS IEC 61000 standard.
Energy Consumption Label: The motor system is affixed with a bilingual energy consumption label in Malay and English, demonstrating that measured energy consumption is 15% lower than similar products.
This collaboration is not the only one of its kind. In the first half of 2025, ENJUE's exports of construction machinery to Malaysia increased by 27% year-on-year, with high-value-added products such as hydraulic spreaders and intelligent control systems accounting for 41%. Through its localized service network, ENJUE has provided equipment support for key national projects such as the East Coast Railway and the Port Klang Automated Terminal.

Royal Selangor reportedly plans to establish a joint R&D center with Chinese suppliers to optimize hydraulic container spreader anti-corrosion coatings and sealing designs for Malaysia's hot and humid climate. The two sides will also explore pilot applications for hydrogen-powered spreaders to help Malaysia achieve its 2050 carbon neutrality goal.
"This one set of hydraulic spreaders is not only industrial equipment, but also a bond for technological cooperation between China and Malaysia," the partners said at the delivery ceremony. "We look forward to working with our Chinese partners to develop the next generation of intelligent lifting systems and set a new benchmark for Southeast Asian manufacturing."
