From the perspective of structural composition, grab crane is mainly composed of box-shaped bridge, grab trolley, trolley running mechanism, driver's cab and electrical control system. The grab device is a grab bucket that can grab bulk materials. It includes an opening and closing mechanism and a lifting mechanism. The grab bucket is suspended on the opening and closing mechanism and the lifting mechanism with four steel wire ropes respectively. The opening and closing mechanism drives the grab bucket to close and grab the material. When the bucket mouth is closed, the lifting mechanism is immediately started so that the four steel wire ropes are evenly loaded for lifting. When unloading, only the opening and closing mechanism is started, and the bucket mouth opens immediately to tilt the material.
Except for the difference in the lifting mechanism, the other structural components of the grab crane are basically the same as those of the hook bridge crane. To ensure the safety of the crane, railing handrails are set. In addition, there are lighting lamps under the bridge, insulating rubber and door switches in the driver's cab, protective covers on all transmission parts, safety switches on all railing doors, stops at the end of the travel, and hook frames on the sliding wire.
