1. External environmental factors
Reason: The grapple may be stuck by foreign objects, or in a low-temperature environment, the moisture inside the grapple freezes, causing the parts to freeze and not open.
Solution:
Clean the foreign matter inside and outside the grapple, can use heating and other ways to melt the ice, be careful not to damage the parts of the grapple.
2. Mechanical failure
Reason: The grab is seriously deformed---rectify the distorted position.
Solution:
Mechanical parts of the grab such as connecting pins, spindles, wire ropes, pulleys, etc. may be worn, deformed, or jammed due to long-term use, preventing the normal opening and closing of the grab, or the spring may fail, failing to provide the elasticity required to open the grab.
3. Hydraulic system failure
Reason: The hydraulic system may have leaks, resulting in insufficient pressure, and the grapple will not open; insufficient hydraulic oil will also cause the system to not work properly!
Solution:
Check the hydraulic system for leaks, repair the leaks, and top up the hydraulic oil to the required level.
Reason: The hydraulic pump and hydraulic valve are clogged or damaged, affecting the grapple opening.
Solution:
Check the hydraulic pump, repair or replace the faulty hydraulic valve; clean or replace the clogged, damaged hydraulic valve.
4. Failure of the electrical control system
1) Reason: In the case of electric grapples, motor failure, line short circuit or disconnection, controller failure, etc. may result in the grapple not being able to be opened.
Solution:
Check the motor, repair or replace the damaged motor; check the line, repair or short-circuit or disconnect the line; check and repair the controller, if necessary, replace the controller.
2) Reason: For the remote control grab, the battery or lithium battery lacks power, also can not open the grab.
Solution:
Charge the grapple or replace the battery in time.
3) Reason: For the remote control grapple, the remote control failure, the grapple can not be opened!
Solution:
A. Check the remote control emitter whether no power and replace the battery: the
Plug of the remote system is reliable and has an open circuit, and should be repaired or replaced if occurred the following problem.
B. Check solenoid directional valve has power in a working state.
C. Dismantle the solenoid and check the flow adjustment valve inside the mouth blocked, if blocked should clear the flow adjustment valve and solenoid.
4) Reason: Remote system failure, oil cylinder in a locked state.
Solution:
Pls disassemble the flow adjust valve, and check the valve core of the directional valve in normal movement, which is under the flow adjust valve. If the valve core card is at the bottom, please use the M6-type screwed bolts to insert into the bottom hole on the directional valve cord, take out the valve cord and replace the whole set of directional valves. Replace the oil hydraulic and absorb the oil filter in the tank.
5. Improper operation
Reason: The operator is not following the correct operating procedures, e.g. the strength and angle of the operating handle are not correct.
Solution:
Increase operator training and familiarise them with the correct operating procedures and techniques.
